This tool uses the latest version of the Google Static Maps API to generate a static map image, you can configure the different API settings and preview the image, but most importantly it generates the URL needed to display the image in your own website. This generator is intended mostly for developers (i built it to speed up debugging a project that used the API) and as such it is very straightforward and has no hand holding (no validation, no tooltips, not very pretty). I strongly recommended you read the entire documentation available for the Google Static Maps API v2 before mixing and matching all the different options. Some parameters are required (marked with *) and others are optional, but some are only required only if other parameters are missing (keep the documentation open in another tab, trust me). So far, about 90% of the API features are configurable from this tool (missing path and visible parameters), but i will continue to work on it until it covers 100%. And if i get enough requests maybe i'll even add more features to make it more user-friendly. Enjoy!
